Sustainable Development Goals

Share

At ÐÇ¿ÕÌåÓý¹ÙÍø, we are at the forefront of imagining and delivering a sustainable green planet.

We are teaching the next generation of leading scientists, engineers and managers to understand their role in sustainability and develop their skills and knowledge to lead the change to make an immediate impact.

Statement of education commitment

Universities have a crucial role in helping to address some of the most pressing issues facing our world today.

Signing the SDG Accord makes clear ÐÇ¿ÕÌåÓý¹Ù꿉۪s ongoing focus on bringing academic expertise, industry insight and new technological developments to government, business and wider society.

And our teaching also has a huge impact – we are committed to delivering education around sustainability across our curriculum, in a powerful and relevant way for all students.

These are the leaders of the future, drivers of change, and people who will use their sustainability knowledge and skills gained through a ÐÇ¿ÕÌåÓý¹ÙÍø education to find solutions to global challenges.

Our future global well-being and development affects everyone, and the urgency of the action needed to achieve the SDGs is undeniable.

Vice-Chancellor - Professor Dame Karen Holford DBE FREng
