Background
Nasreen completed her BTech in Biotechnology from SRM University in India in 2012 followed by an M.Tech in Environmental Engineering from Manipal University in 2015. As part of her M.Tech thesis, she interned with GIZ-Indo-German
Environmental Partnership Program (IGEP) in Bangalore, India on using tertiary filters to improve phosphorus removal in decentralized sewage treatment plants discharging to inland water bodies in rural and semi-urban
areas.
After completing her MTech, she worked in UAE for 4 years as an Environmental Engineer during which she was involved in an R&D project on Seawater RO biofouling control, working with experts from USA and Singapore. Having gained a deep interest in water and wastewater engineering, she worked as a Process Engineer for water and wastewater treatment systems
