Background
Dr Gemma Collantes Celador is an expert within the field of conflict, security and development, currently focusing on the intersection between state building processes, security sector reform/governance and transitional justice. Her scholarly interests also include European security, human security, and the International Criminal Court. Much of her scholarly work has focused on the Western Balkans but she is increasingly interested in Latin America.
Through her work, Dr Collantes Celador has collaborated in projects with Prof. Mary Kaldor's Human Security Study Group (based at the LSE), the Swedish National Defence College, the Folke Bernadotte Academy, the Barcelona Institute of International Studies (IBEI) and the CIDOB Foundation.
